Pure Streetgrass from New Brunswick
Hailing from Edmundston, New Brunswick, Crooked Rapids delivers "Streetgrass"—a high-octane blend of folk, country, and bluegrass that is both rustic and electrifying.
Formed in 2023 by longtime friends Sean Connely (resonator) and Richard Guay (mandolin), the duo quickly evolved into a powerhouse trio with the addition of Doris Berube on upright bass. Known for their swampy picking, rapid-fire flourishes, and infectious energy, the band has spent the last two years honing their sound across Northwestern New Brunswick.
Crooked Rapids is currently in the studio preparing for their debut album and an Eastern Canadian tour, both slated for Spring 2026.
Our first three singles will be released in Fall 2026 with our full debut album shortly following! Stay tuned!!
